What to Do if You Have a Concern
At Abbots Farm Infants, we value strong partnerships with our families and are committed to working together to provide the very best learning experience for every child.
If at any point you have a concern about your child, or you feel you need to share important information with us, please follow the steps below.
1. Speak to Your Child’s Class Teacher First
Where possible, your child’s class teacher should be your first point of contact.
Teachers are available in their classrooms until 3:30pm each day.
Please wait until all other children have been collected before approaching the teacher so they are able to give you their full attention.
2. Make an Appointment
If you are unable to speak to the class teacher at the end of the school day, you can book an appointment through the school office.
We will arrange a time that works for both you and the teacher.
3. Ongoing Concerns
If your concern continues or you feel it needs further discussion, you are welcome to make an appointment with a member of the senior leadership team:
- Mrs Lovejoy — Headteacher
- Miss Bull — Deputy Headteacher
- Miss Hetherington — Assistant Headteacher & SENCO
Our leadership team is always happy to help support families and resolve any issues promptly.
4. Using Class Dojo
You can also send messages to your child’s class teacher or to Mrs Lovejoy via Class Dojo.
Please note that while staff aim to respond as soon as possible, replies may not be immediate during teaching hours.
