Online Safety

As part of your child’s curriculum and the development of ICT skills, Abbots Farm Infant School provides supervised access to the internet.  We believe that the effective use of the internet and e-mail is worthwhile and is an essential skill for children as they grow up in the modern world.

Please read our Online Safety Policy which explains how we keep everyone safe. If you have any concerns relating to the online safety of child in our school, please call the school office and ask to speak to Mrs Lovejoy who is the Online Safety Lead and the Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL).

Our school internet provider operates a filtering system that restricts access to inappropriate materials.  This may not be the case at home so we have provided you with some information on safe internet access here and some links to further guidance at the bottom of the page.

To promote online safety and support with the dissemination of key messages we appoint an Online Safety Council each year. These are nominated and voted for each year. This year’s Online Safety Council are:

Ladybirds
Wan Yin and Burt

Isla and Teddy
